Final Friday of the Month 8:30AM

    October 25

    Coffeeholic

    8525 Greenwood Avenue North

    Seattle WA 98103

As we focus on relationship-building this year, and continue to have our chapter meetings on Zoom, we're eager to offer our members opportunities to connect in person. We think having "neighborhood groups" that can meet occasionally for coffee could be a great way to build community and share local info.

Hosted by Val Green, Pivot Organizing

Our Coffee Chats are open to anyone

We pride ourselves on being a cohesive, positive, enthusiastic group. Brainstorming and idea sharing are encouraged. All meetings begin on time with the intention of ending on time, and we abide by the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO) Anti-Trust Compliance Policy during all chapter events. NAPO expects attendees to take responsibility themselves for following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and their local health officials, on measures to reduce infection from COVID-19 and to protect against severe complications. Click here to read NAPO's COVID policy in full.

Rehoming Stuff: Finding the Next Highest Good for Your Clients' Unwanted Items or Incorporating Zero Waste Organizing for a Sustainable Future

Lauren Winters West, Next Highest Good Professional Organizing

    Tuesday November 12, 2024

    6:15PM - 8:00PM

    Overview:

As professional organizers, we have an important role to play in driving green, zero waste initiatives, through client education, community engagement and creative problem solving.

I  invite you to consider the role the organizing industry has in driving the sustainability conversation in my presentation.

I am excited to share loads of inspiring examples, hear about your challenges and offer tips and tricks for creative ways to re-think, re-frame and re-home your clients' unwanted items.

    Attendees will gain:
tips & tricks for rehoming items that cannot be donated

ways to speak with your clients about rehoming

local, national and global resources for rehoming goods

    Breakout room Qs:
What are some challenges you have with your clients around rehoming?

What do you do with items that cannot be donated (ie chair with cat scratched arms or baby items, etc.) when your clients have items they do not want/need but they are not ready for landfill?

What role do you think the organizing industry plays in sustainability?

    About the speaker:

She works with clients across all life stages, in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond, to create spaces that maximize healthy, sustainable living and productivity, with a focus on zero waste living.
